For this VMware Linux lab, I setup and configured four Linux virtual machines. One Linux virtual machine contained a Linux server, the second Linux virtual machine was used to test Shell programs I created, the third Linux virtual machine was used for testing C programs and modifications of the Linux kernel, and the fourth Linux virtual machine was used to test Python and Ruby programs and act as a client for the Linux server.
Through the course of this project, I learned about Linux commands, VMWare, Linux servers, and Linux administration. The goal of the project was to create a complex Linux virtual machine environment and create scripts that could modify the Linux kernel. At the end of the project, I was able to create a unique Linux virtual machine environment that borrowed concepts from node.js to handle Linux server requests in a simultaneous manner.
